How a material delivery works.
Screened Topsoil, Leaf Compost and Asphalt Millings, loaded at our own yard on Seasons Road in Stow and delivered by the cubic yard across Summit County and the towns just past it.

How a Delivery Works

Tell us the project
Call (330) 805-7556 or send the form. Say which material, the town, and roughly the area you are covering.

We size the load
Material is sold by the cubic yard. If you are not sure how many yards the job takes, describe it and we will work it out with you.

We set a delivery day
Warm months only, roughly April through October. Delivery days are weekdays, 9 to 5.

The truck drops it
Delivery is by dump truck. Where it goes depends on where the truck can safely get to, and we do not typically drive across lawns.
What It Costs
Delivery Rates
When it is free
Delivery is free on screened topsoil and leaf compost in Stow and Hudson on loads of 4 yards or more.
No free delivery on asphalt millings. Those loads are always $50, whatever the town or the size.

Sizing the Load
Trucks and Yards
How many yards you need
One cubic yard covers about 100 square feet at three inches deep. So a 20 by 25 foot bed at that depth is about five yards. Describe the project and we will size it with you.
What a load holds
- Screened topsoil up to 5 yards per load
- Leaf compost up to 8 yards per load
- Asphalt millings up to 5 yards per load
Before We Arrive
Getting the Site Ready
Five minutes of prep is the difference between a clean drop and a pile in the wrong place.
- Mark the spot you want the pile, with a tarp, a bucket or an X, so there is no guesswork when the truck arrives.
- Check overhead. A raised dump bed needs clearance from power lines, low branches, gutters and basketball hoops.
- Pick ground that is dry and level. Soft or sloped ground is where a truck gets stuck or leaves ruts.
- Move the cars, trailers and bins clear of the drop spot, and anything else you would not want a pile in front of.
- Be reachable on the day. A number the driver can call saves a return trip if anything on site has changed.

O'Bryan Topsoil and Compost is not responsible for any damage caused beyond the street curb. This includes any damage to driveways, sidewalks, homes, garages, fences, plants, vehicles, utility wires, or anything else at the delivery site.
Unsafe Delivery Locations
Our drivers may determine that a certain location is unsafe for delivery, and we will always prioritize safety when making delivery decisions.
